My maintinance reminder turned orange so I knew it was time to change my oil. I did so today and tried to reset the reminder to green and it seemed as if the key would not go into the reset hole far enough. I tried for at least 5 minutes with no luck. Is there a way to fix this or am I going to have to see red on my dash from now on? A couple of months ago my odometer stopped working and someone recommended that I insert the key and plunge it several times in the reset hole which got my odometer working again.Could I have messed something up? I use this reminder so I know when to change the oil so I would like it to work. Thanks

 

Well I just went off in the car and when I came back thought I'd try it again and after about 5 attempts it reset halfway and with one more push it reset all the way. Do not know what is making it so hard to push though.
