im in desperate need of help... i just recently bought a 00 civic si TURBO. i got it for cheap 3500. the guy told me it needs a new turbo( smokes out of the tail pipe) it started up ran fine when i picked it up. by the time i got back to town it was smoking like a frieght trane and died at the first stoplight. wouldnt start back up. i finnaly roll started it and got it home. the turbo is in the process of being rebuilt. i flushed all the oil cleaned the interooler piping and intake mani.. changed the plugs and added new oil but still wont start with the key but it would roll start.. felt like it was a little slugish but not that bad, again when i put it in nuetral it died... anybody have any clue what it could be ?? any advice would be greatly apreciated!!

Battery low?

Bad starter?

Rubber stopper fall out from above the clutch pedal?

 

cranks fine battery is good starter is good its gettin fuel and spark because it will roll start just wont idle and has very little power... cant figure it out for the life of me antifreez is full not discolored

 

If you have a low idle, then you should be able to start the engine if you give it some throttle. There should be no need to roll start.

 

it wont idle at all it will stay running if i hold it at 1500 rpms but its rough and feels like it has no ***** taking off... could i have ruined my o2 sensor by drivin it with the turbo gasket blown?? theres oil coming out the exhaust ( lots o smoke)

 

Compression test the cylinder. Any CEL codes?

 

havnt checked the codes it wasnt throwing any when it was running.. could it be because it has the hondata ecu. ill have the compression tested tomorrow. the oil that was left in it when i got it home was almost green and smelled like straight gas... piston rings shot?

 

If the oil smells like fuel....then I'd say yes, rings are toast...or you've got some other serious problems

Water in combustion chamber? Mine fell victim to that.
