What should I do with my bumpers?
Hey everybody I'm in the middle of my first paint job and after not knowing how to set up my gun I did a bad job at priming my bumpers. The primer is all uneven. Do I have to resand the bumpers or can I just spray more primer on top and just make sure to cover the spots that didnt get sprayed good last time? Can I also just spray over some of the previously primed spots on the rest of the car, where my dents where?
Also, I had scuffed them up pretty bad when I was sanding them. Is priming and block sanding going to fix these scuffs or should I just stop messing with the bumpers I got and just get new ones?

And my driver side side molding had a dent in it so where should I get a new one? Honda charges like $80 bucks and thats kinda high for me right now.
Here is a before pic

And how it sits atm

It's okay to spray primer over spots that have been primed before, but what grit paper are you using? Before actually painting, I normally wet sand the areas so you don't see sand scratchs in the pain.t itself
I have been sanding most of the car with 80 grit because the car had a good 3-4 complete paint jobs on it but I plan to block sand the whole car with 350 before I spray it. Is that a good idea?

Is something around this quality possible for me?
That quality will take ALOT of prep, and a pretty good comfort level with a gun. 320 MIGHT leave sand scratches....i would sand with what your tech data sheet says to sand with.
just paint over them, or you can buy black trim paint. use primer filler to fill in those spots that are scuffed up, give em a good sand and shoot em with the black trim
What do you mean by ALOT of prep? I'm new to car painting and I dont understand what people mean when they say this. If I block sand it good and have everything clean when I spray it what more can I do?
its mostly said cause paint only takes a few hours, prepping the car for paint can take weeks. with my paint project (link in my sig) its comming out good but can see where i could have took more time. sure blocking a car dosent sound difficult but it kinda is, prime/block/prime/block/prime/block....plus sanding filler..ughhhh
thats only the first step
i would also practice with the gun your going to be using...making sure you paint with the gun flat on the panel, fan spray, psi, ect ect.

everything MUST be sanded with 320 before repriming...and u can finish the car in 320 grit but the car will have to be sealed before base coat or just finish everything in 400. BASF makes a flat black called uno u can spray on your moulding tht looks OEM.
Block sand all the uneven spots and feather it out, than respray with one even coat. You can even do a guide coat and block sand after you re primer. Just to find the low-high spots.
