Default how do i replace the ignition switch in a del sol?

ok so recently ive been having troubles with my ignition on my del sol. the key works fine but i have to hold it to keep it running. i recently bought a new switch but not the cylinder. i was wondering is anybody has a how to/writeup on how to change the switch but not the cylinder.

its a 1993 del sol si 5 speed

ps. im mainly worried about the connector that goes onto the cylinder itself (the small one by the key hole). i dont know if that just pulls out and pushes in or if there is a certian way that works.

ill get pics up as soon as possible
