Default Stupid Question about JE pistons.

Ok guys, Im looking for some JE pistons for my R so I got to the crower website to order a set. On the site they only have 2 compressions for the Type-R, 9.0:1 and 11.5:1, sense Im turbo I want a lower compression but not as low as 9.0:1. Under the listing for GSR pistons they have the compression I want 9.8:1. So my question is will the GSR 9.8:1 @ +.020 over work in my R or do I have to get custom pistons made? I think they will work fine, but i just want to see what you guys think first because I dont want to order custom pistons if I dont have too.

JE make flat top pistons @ 81mm. The flat tops will yield somewhere in the range of 10:1. If your at 81mm (stock bore) then any b series 81mm pistons will fit fine. If you get the gsr pistons @ .20 over then you will have bore out the block to .20 over then you will be at 81.5 mm.

You can find 10:1 comp 81mm pistons from JE.

JE has some real nice set-ups with their piston applications........I looked at the N/A pistons for my car.... . Good luck with mods.
