Default ZC with ZC ECU

I got my '89 CRX with the DOHC ZC already swapped in. Just recently I found out that it has an Si tranny and an original ZC ECU. Is this the best ECU for me to be using?

Yes. The only drawback about that Ecu (if you want to call it that) is that it has a speed limiter which will only let you go to about 112mph. Other than that it's the best ecu to use for that engine since it specifically made to run it.

Sunny, the last time I went 112 was back in 1955. I was 75 years old then...

Really though, for regular street use I have never gotten close to that speed. Mantaining those high RPMs makes me a little nervous...what would that be with a SI trany? 6500 RPMs? No thanks you! I trust my ZC...but it IS 10 years old!

I thought the Integra ECU was supposed to be much better.

No. The Teg ecu is better than the Si one, but it's not better than the ZC.

That's odd. I talked to the guy who built the car, he told me that he put the ZC ECU in it. Then he sold it to his brothe who got pulled while racing, cop clocked him at a buck twenty five. Hmmm...

It could be chipped. When I had my ZC I had a ZC ecu that i had chipped to remove the speed limiter.

What chip did you use? Did it change the fuel maps?
