Default 97 coupe ex swap to b18c1

I know this has been asked before but I am swapping a 96-01 gsr into a 97 civic ek coupe I have the gsr motor and gsr Trans I also have the 99-00 si mounts (driver and rear) that I was told I would need so my questions are:
1. If my motor now is obd2 (single cam) and the gsr is obd2 will I need a different alternator?
2. Will I need a different throttle cable?
3. Will I need a different shift linkage?
4. Do I need to do any welding for the mounts to fit correctly?

I will probably be posting on here to find out more because this is my first swap ever and I would appreciate done of everyones knowledge. Thanks HT

Is your car Manual, or Auto?
Is your motor (in the car now) VTEC or non-VTEC?

-Most likely you will not need an Altenator unles the one on the motor's bad. lol
-Yes, you will need a different throttle cable. It should come with the motor swap. If not, since it is a GS-R swap i'm not sure what cable will fit properly. The Cable for the motor should fit just fine with a bit of adjustment. (GS-R cable)
-Yes, you will need a different shift linkage. A B-Series linkage for EK chassis.
-No welding is neccessary. Buy, or obtain B-series mount for your Chassis.

It's a manual and the motor in it now is a vtec

Well then, it should be a clean swap given you have all the correct parts I've stated previously.

Engine (throttle cable, Mounts, harness)
Transmission (linkage, axels, slave cylinder, mount, etc)
ECU

Check and remember grounds.

I'm probably just going to leave the grounds connected to the car on there and then get new ones to replace them and have good clean grounds in the same spots

Also one more question. will I need a new starter?

You'll only need a new one if the on in the transmission, given that it comes with it, does not work. Otherwise, no.

And no, the starter from the motor in the car now is not interchangable with the motor you're going to put in.

No problem dude. Make sure you have a tank full of premium gasoline before the swap. VTEC motors, generally B-Series, recommend 89+ octane.

And send pics. I'd love to see the swap before and after.

Question does the single cam vtec harness fit the b series motor?
And if I need to switch the harness, will the b series harness fit the plugs to the dash and everything?
