Wow, all that's left is Famoso Raceway for the Test n Tunes. No one better mention Willow Springs because it's spin city lol.

i believe the track isnt closed its just in a review to have the noise wall barrier in place if need be. there is alot of media hype and dont believe everything you read just like the irwindale scare. if fontana closes you better bet that there will be something happening in la county.. one thing is 1/8 mile but to have the only 1/4 track close in la county is gonna be a serious blow to socal and i dont think people will be going away just like that.

lacr was unfortunate but was a long going battle so it was known this is something that has been going on for a 1-2 year span

Remember going to the California Speedway "old" track setup in the parking lot in 2001 with the HMT guys. Sad stuff, but this type of garbage is why I moved outta So Cal to begin with.

We still have Pomona but I hear they're also under strict conditions with surrounding community. Not to mention, Pomona charges an arm, a leg, 3 toes, 4 fingers, and a left ******** to rent the track.

Last time I contacted pomona they said they only hold 1 or 2 events a year due to noise restrictions. And those two events are like to top fuel dragster events...

This really suck. the birth place to our sport(please don't argue this) is actually getting there legs cut out right beneath them sucks.

question i have why are tracks closing out there like that?, i thought street racing was a big problem out there?, seems kinda contradictory i say. does this have to do with homes being built close to the track now, and neighbors now have an issue or?

to my understanding, there is a neighbor hood near the track. how close? it has to be at least half a mile away...maybe more. the track is near/in a industrial area. the tracks for the train's/passenger train's are right next the the drag strip. there is also a rock mine right next to the train tracks, right next to the drag strip. there is also fontana speedway about 1,000ft from the drag strip that also has road racing on the weekends.
to my knowledge there is at least 1 person living in the heighborhood that is ****, and doesn't want to hear the cars racing. just some enviromental bull ish.

Nhra needs to help out. This is getting out of hand. I'm sure they wouldn't like their grassroots racers signing.petitions on closing pomina since they won't help us.little.guys supporting.nhra why.not just kill it all together in California, inc circle tracks too. So upset at this

absolutely ponderous! sickening to see the birthplace of hot rodding losing drag strips. i would think with the financial troubles california is having you would think they would find a way to keep these tracks open to have people employed as well as racers off the streets. wake up jackasses!!
