Default Will 215's rub on 97' EJ hatch?

I was wondering whether these would rub or not. The car is lowered, but not slammed =P

I have 195/50/15 with no fender gap on my EJ8 and I have some rubbing. You could always just roll the fenders. Make room for slamage.
I would guess that you would have some rubbing. Depends on how low you are.

And I believe grumble meant what size rims? 16" but how wide?

Moved to wheel and tire for better responses.

I meant what are these going on? 15s? 16s? 20s? 6.5" wide? 7" wide? 8" wide? 10" wide?

Again you are going about it backwards. Rim first. Tire second.

It all has to do with spring rate and ride height. Will they need a stiffer spring and/or higher ride height than stock tires? Yes.
