This is going to be my first build and I want to build everything up from an empty block I just need tips and a parts list to get started any help is greatly appreciated I'm Brandon by the way new to the forum and new to building up Hondas I have a 91 Ef hatchy

First and foremost...Welcome to H-T.

You have to give us a little more information on what you're trying to build this motor for, power goals, etc.

Make sure to read the FAQ page that has been stickied. 99% of what you'll run across has already been covered.

Definitely check out the F.A.Q for all the particulars. You'll find information on wiring, conversion parts, etc.

A mid 300s whp B16 is easily attained and can be driven daily. Check out the Forced Induction section too. You'll see a ton of build on there that will give you an idea of how you'll put yours together when you're ready.

Do tons of reading on here man. A heads up too, don't expect to be spoon fed all the information. Good Luck!!!

whats up im new to this site found alot of usefull info on here... long story short i just turboed my b16 about a week ago was unfortunaly unable to get a tuning appt till this sunday coming up; was driving normal not beating it and smoke started pouring from the exhaust it was late and ive yet to look at it due to a rainy day and a full garage.. any way i think its time for a rebuild miles are getting high and now this issue, i wanna build my block up and most likely my head too looking for as much info, sample builds, tips, specs, etc this happens to be the first time i am rebuilding an engine im not a complete noob at this but will be needing help thanks in advance for any info

 

You should start your on thread.

Driving the car without a tune was not the brightest thing you could have done, but it sounds like you probably just blew a seal in the turbo if you weren't beating on it as you claim. What restrictor are you using? Answer that in the first post of your new thread instead of jacking this guys.
