Default go-autoworks intercoolers?

can anyone shed some light on the qualitly/perfomance of the go-autoworks intercoolers?

looking to upgrade my cheap cooler for something a little better that wont break the bank account...so precision or garrett cores are out of MY price rance.

looking at the go-autoworks "R" front mount intercooler here: http://www.go-autoworks-store.com/gor.html

looks pretty good for the size and price...but im wondering IF they are the same as those CXRacing coolers found on ebay for slightly less.....

can anyone confirm these are worth the extra little cash?

thanks

p.s. power goals are 400-450whp.

"flow tested at 711 cfm"

Sorta a stupid number when you dont have any test information... I can flow 711cfm through a coffee stir straw with enough pressure...

I would assume these are ebay intercoolers... which really are not all that bad, but I would just get whatever is the absolute cheapest.

I've only heard good things about Greg's stuff. He is actually working on a small one for me right now. It should be shipped by the end of the week.

I'm thinking that these are better quality cores than the ebay intercoolers. I can tell you for sure after I install it and get some IAT's though. I currently have an ebay tube and fin, so hopefully this bar and plate will be a nice upgrade. He's also fabbing up half of the intercooler piping for me as well.

go-autoworks makes/sells top quality products and is an excellent vendor.
and, definitely not an 'ebay brand'

Many of Greg's intercoolers actually use Garrett cores. You should contact him. He built me a custom short core single back door setup with a Garrett core.

Go-autoworks is faaaaaar from cheap crap. His stuff is awesome quality and I would never compare his stuff to any cheap crap you can get off eBay.

I have bought a few garrett cores.. and although they were a big bigger, they cost more than that intercooler costs... assembled.... I had a hundered bucks worth of welding done with the end tanks after I paid ~$175 for the core.

Edit

Found his garrett cores... Legit/good price but its not 175 bucks.... http://www.go-autoworks-store.com/gtcustomfmic.html

Greg uses different types of cores depending upon the build kit that you get. that's how he keeps his costs reasonable and effective. Some are a little less using a cast manifold and a Mishimoto/style core, the more expensive ones ue the better manifolds and Garrett cores with custom endtanks. (Come think of it ALL of his custom ones are Garrett cores).

Do your homework. the better ones to use for the least amount are the mishimoto style / bar & plate cores.
