Release 2.24.2012: ATP Turbo and DSPORT Magazine are teaming up with Sacramento raceway to inject more excitement back into the import drag racing circuit!

The "Turbo" Classes will be sponsored by ATP Turbo and the event coverage (pics and results) will be covered and published by DSPORT magazine!

Sacramento Raceway is a great track with great weather and at close to sea level elevation coupled with good air all year around, the track is prime for record setting passes in your turbo car!

Calling all West Coast racers (and beyond):

Bring out your turbo powered car and run with us! Good at "bracket racing" at the sportsman tree? Come out and race in the new "ATP Turbo Bracket" class and race other turbo cars on a handicap for a leveled playing field. Got a fast street turbo car? Bolt on sticky tires, and go head to head with the west coast's fastest turbo cars at the pro-tree in the "ATP Turbo Street Heads-up" class! Take home up to $1000 in cash and be featured in the national import plubication, DSPORT magazine!

Free that weekend, but don't want to race? Bring the family, fill up the stands and watch some of the fastest turbo cars go side by side down the strip and hit speeds in excess of 150 MPH! Come hear the largest turbos spool, see the biggest front-wheel-drive burnouts, and observe the brightest fireballs out of the exhaust as these turbo cars come alive.

Still CMI but with a new added turbo bracket class and a revised heads up class (previously T4) with a bigger payout.

 

hmmmm....wonder if anyone will go.

 

Hopefully the bigger payout brings more cars. Once my car is done I'll be out there for sure.

 

Not enough of a heads up for me, can't prep in a weeks time and I've been itching to race too. Anyhow, good luck to all who go!

how did the event go..?

 

We drove all the way from Reno. Was a good time there was some fast cars, my car didn't do so good had fuel problems only ran 12.6 very bad but we will be there next time. And thanks to all th teams that helped us out.

 

Got to say it was nice, some quick cars, got to admit Evos coming in strong.... Shout out to Chuck ran a 10.9 in his DD K turbo....5 years and motor still not blown lol lol, Chad you'll get it next time pimp.....

 

Very good turnout even though possible rain scared a lot of racers away. Great event with a lot of turbo cars out. Evos dominated the turbo heads up field but The 9 second Honda beat out the 9 second evo in the finals. Some good solid racing action. See everybody in April and again in may. Weather should be better so no more excuses.

 

Had a great day at the track yesterday. Ended up winning the Outlaw bracket class in my 97 integra gsr. It's a stock engine with basic bolt on's. Ran slicks for the first time and was able to run a best time of 14.20 at 94mph with a 60' time of 2.0. Big thanks go out to my team, Light*speed Racing, to Sacramento Raceway for putting on the event and to DSport magazine and ATP turbo for helping sponsor the event. See everyone in April.
