Default Integra DC2 17x8 wheels

I have a 00 Integra with a K24a2 swap and K20z3 trans (4.7FD).

I have some 225/40-17 R6's that I will be using.

I am trying to find some wheels that will fit.

The only thing I have found is the Rota Torque (17x8, 4x100, +35).

Currently I am running 949racing 6ul's 15x8 +36 with a 225/45-15 RA1 and Kosei K1 15x8 +35 with RA1.

I am trying to find another option other than the Rota's because they are heavy.

I have looked and called and no options.

I have seen the Kosei makes the K1-TS in a 17x8, 4x100 +35 but I cannot find anyone that sells them.

Need some suggestions, have to buy wheels by wednesday!

Car is being used for TT and soon to be HC1 this season.

I use 7.5" rota cuz they are cheap and only 3lbs heavier than the lightest 17x7 wheel by enkei. If you are picky though, look into enkei.

btw - you cant use R6 in HC only RA1s

Sell me your 949s

you could sell the tires and get some rota slips 16x8 for cheap jlbmotorsports.com you might have to call and have them order the size but they should give you a good deal. also you can maybe look at kosi k1s they are light for the size and you can fit a 225 on them.

What offset and model are you running and tire? (I'm gussing 235/40-17 RA1?)

Yes I'm only running the R6's for TT.

There are no popular 16" race tires. Been there, done that.

I run Rota P45 and Rota Torque in 17x7.5 +45 with 235-40-17 and I play with wheel spacers so the rear tires wont rub on the trailing arm. They didn't have +40 or +38 in the 4x100 lug pattern so I must run spacers and don't mind at all.

I run a 17*8 rpf1 on my car... no fitment issues with the hoosiers but run 1/4 inch spaces with 235 ra1swait why do you want 17s? are you up sizing your brakes???

Not yet. Well, I haven't decided. I currently have ITR brakes all around and wanting to upgrade to stoptech's. But the main reason, is that I am finishing a K24a2 swap with 09 Civic Si Trans. I'm thinking the tq of the K24 is going to lite the tires up.

Did I buy your 4 hoosiers 225/40-17?

How come everyone is running such a high offset? The reason I'm looking at the Rota Torque 17x8 +35 is so that it will clear everything.

Or do you think stick with the 6ul's and keeping running a 225/45-15?

any k engine will light up the tires if you just mat the go pedal all the time.
looking at a gear calc and compairing it to my set up (stock k20r with 5.46 fd on a k20r trans) you would be better off running the 15's the car will bogg on 17's

wheeldude.com sells rota DPT wheels in 17X8 +48. I have them on my eg hatch with 10mm spacers up front. I have other 17X7 wheels in the rear. You should also look into team dynamics racing wheels and enkei. Be careful with rpf1 wheels, they have a smaller inner diameter than my current rota wheels and did not clear my brakes.

Hmm, so why are so many people running 17's? Is there any benefit besides being able to use a bigger brake?

Welllllll.... I run them because I was unhappy with my ITR setup and got a smoking deal on 2 sets of wheels and a set of stoptechs
You will have to change the fd if you run 17's or you will hate 5th and 6th

very few people run brakes large enough to need 17s. even some guys that use 17s still use 11" brakes. i am at the limit of a 15" wheel and don't want to go any larger in wheel or brake (11.8")

I had the S2000 brakes upfront (11.8"). They were great and I loved them. I sold them for the ITR setup because friends were telling me the ITR was better b/c of the bigger pad.

What caliper do you use?

The S2000 brakes fit under the 949 6ul's. I need to see if they will clear my Kosei K1's +35 offset. I tried them with a +40 (I think?? can't remember exactly and they would not).

I really wish I could try some 17" wheels without buying them and regretting it
