Default 95 Civic/B16A2 swap -- running real bad and making a ticking sound

Im new here and new to the Honda world. I have a 95 with a b16a2 swap. It was throwing a tps and iat cel, only revving to 6400 rpms, and not kicking into vtech so i plugged it up to a buddy's ecu with s300.
With his ecu, which has a tune with just a skunk 2 im and tb, it kicked into vtech, but still had the iat code and only reved to 6400.

After putting my p75 back in the car, I headed home. A few miles down the road it started running real bad and making a ticking sound, not like a rod knocking though.

So my question is what could it be, it had to be something with switching the ecu's because it ran fine before that, other than vtech not working....would doing this cause it to jump time?

Thanks for any help.

What ECU did your friend had? Running a P75 on your B16 swap will run like **** because it doesn't have VTEC programmed.

not trying to be mean, however if your going to drive a modified swapped car...you need to start reading up on it. Every problem you have. you aren't going to get answered in 15 mins on here, or you have the option of taking it to a shop and paying through the nose.

Search a little bit, I bet if you start reading you'll learn ALOT.

i didnt expect an answer in 15min, but a week is a little longer than I expected.
I did some research on it, but never really found a straight answer, hence why i started the thread.

Anyways, the car jumped time and bent some valves, now im looking for a new head.
