hey whats up i picked this car up around dec 2010. Picked it up for a good price off a friend.It had a spun rod bearing.So i fixed it, made a mistake rebuilt it for my dd so everything went back to oem.I previously had a boosted ls so of course i missed the power.After about 5000 miles of hard miles on the motor i boosted it. Bought a s300 hondata and put it together took it to get tune.Then boom goes the sleeves. so now im at it again drop the block off to mike at laskey racing. There it got sleeved, also picked up some cp pistons and eagle rods along with mircro polishing, and balancing the crank.This time around i took it to a local machine shop to assemble the bottom end.Then i put the rest of the motor together put it in.This time on the dyno i spin a rod bearing.So as of now the motor is back at laskey racing for them to assemble it. This time around i will be towing it to so cal to get tuned there.

how many psi were you running when you cracked the sleeve?

 

I don't know tuner set my boost cut at 11 psi when a stock map sensor didn't read that high

 

boost cut doesn't mean a lot, what pressure was the wastegate blowing off? that's serious detonation you had going on

the spring is a .9 spring and i was making about 240 wht and about 200 whp at about 5000 rpm let me look for the dyno sheet i think it was cuase of boost creep.The tuner said my waste gate vacuum line was connected wrong so i offered to fix it and he said its ok its not creeping so i thought it was ok and took his word for it

idk i knew it was bad when i saw the sheet but i didnt know how bad it was till i let my brother in law look at it

thats also why im paying the money to tow it to socal this time

Wow. Curious as to who "tuned" your car...

 

new updates got my block back from laskey have not unwrap everything.Will start putting it all back together on sunday then hopefully i get to drop the motor in on monday.

 

 

damn that is some story you have there. i hope everything goes well this time around. but i agree about that fuel curve is almost not even there

 

got the block put together and its in the car.hopefully will get it started this weekend

congrats. how much boost was that at? hope the a/r is better this time.
