Is Cusco LSD any Good?
I bought what was a used CTR LSD off E-BAY and when I get it it's a CUSCO...Wandering if I got ripped or did I get lucky???I think the CUSCO is a Clutch type and I'm not sure but I think those need to be rebuilt after ever so often. What do you guys think?
Whether or not you got ripped depends on how much you paid for it and what condition it's in. New ones go for like $1200 for b-series trannies...
Myself i'm not familiar with them, although they seem to be popular with the Subaru/Mitsu 4WD crowd...

Retail on new Cusco LSDs is somewhere just over $1000. It is a popular aftermarket piece in Japan and other places - don't see too many in the US because there aren't many importers and Quaiffe lowered their MSRP to $800 or so (Quaiffe makes a gear based type LSD that is very popular as well).
It is a clutch type LSD, whereas the JDM Honda LSD is gear type.

I think I have a Cusco 2-way or 1.5-way LSD in my mr2 right now (dunno for sure, cause i got it a few years ago installed already).
To tell you the truth, i dunno, cause i havent ridden a stock mr2. its supposed to be "mild" if i remember correctly
