Green/Whitish Liquid from transmission?
Alright so I just dropped my hatchback today and i think i dropped it a little too much for my driveway i guess. When i came back from testing my car out and parking it back i noticed a liquid spilling from my car. It looked greenish/whitish coming from around the area of the transmission/shifter.....
what did i hit? What did i break? Estimation of price damage???

......you could always just get under your car and check to see if anything is broke or messed up. We have know idea what you could've done to your car. green would make me believe it's coolant and whitish/milky color is what oil and coolant make if mixed together.
i did a quick look tho and noticed that my shifter boot is torn?
Also, more than sure it's coming from under the transmission...but i didnt see any broken areas....
and it sounded like it was sizzling when i came out of the car....
Well liquids will travel the path of least resistance so just because it's dripping from one place it doesn't mean it's leaking from straight up. Theres coolant lines almost directly above the back of the tranny where the shifter is......it still sounds like coolant. And if you heard a "sizzling" sound, then more than likely something is leaking on the exhaust.
x2 on coolant leaking from somewhere. Get your hands on a coolant leak tester. That's the easiest way to spot an otherwise difficult leak to find. You can pressurize the system while the engine is cold and find the leak quickly.

100% sure its coolant. Its the only fluid in a car that has green color at all.
The real issue is where is it leaking from. As stated, just because you see it leaking from the trans area, does not mean its comming from the tranny...in fact, I can assue you, its not.
You have 2 options here. As stated, if you can pressurize the system while cold, that would be the preferred, and safest method of testing for the leak. If that is not an option, fill the coolant up, and warm the car, then look for where the leak is comming from. Dont look for where its dripping, look for a leaky hose or fitting.
