today on my way in to work i noticed how bad the black paint is chipping on the wiper arms on my 94 del sol. i was thinking of just picking up another set of arms and paint or powdercoat those. now my question, Does anyone know if civic coupe or hatch wiper arms will fit on del sols, or would i have to get del sol wiper arms?

 

Just paint them..

throw some newspaper under them and hit it with some flat black.

 

i was going to do that at frist but then i thought its just going to chip again. i want to sand blast and either paint or powdercoat them, i have the equpipment to do either one, i just want to know if anyone knows if civic ones will fit. its my dd and i dont want the wipers off for too long seeing that sandblasting and painting/powdercoaing is a 2 or 3 day project.

 

idk what climate you live in, i did mine with rustoleum 4 years ago and still holding up in south florida heat.

 

im in southern virginia and the climat gets really bipolar. it'll be almost freezing one day and 67 degrees the next.

Check the damn part numbers! Go to Majestic Honda and look at the pictures if you need to. If you take about an hour to paint them then you don't NEED to get a second set of wiper arms. Hence the suggestion to just paint them. If they chip then paint them again!

 

hokay.
mine were almost stripped away to just the silver.
i sanded it the rest of the way down.
put some newspaper down(no need to get paint on the windshield.)
get some flat black shiny black whatever black hit em a couple times. flip em up do a few more.
wait for it to dry. enjoy.

did that 2 years ago. i live in minnesota. the hell hole of weather. from 70 and sunny to -10 and 4 ft of snow. still look perfect.

there is absolutely no need for new arms. spend 4 bucks on paint or probably 30+ for new blades?
