My friend is doing a five lug on his del sol and his backing plates on the jdm knuckles are beat. My question is what could he get to replace them U.S wise? He was told that the jdm knuckles and honda CRV were the same but they dont seem to line up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

I think the stock ITR ones should work your taking the hubs out to replace backing plates? I would straighten them and leave it

 

He replaced the hubs and bearings I think because he is running the crv 32 mm hubs and bearings to accommodate the del sol axels in the d series engine. The backing plates are really bent up and he is trying to just overhaul all of it now.

 

Just wondering what are the differences between usdm and jdm itr axles?

 

^USDM ITR axles = 32mm, JDM ITR axles = 36mm outters.

OP - i took off my backing plates in the end. i didn't like how they looked after i tried bending one back to shape.
