95 Lude - h23-f22b swap
Ok guys, first off I have searched to no avail, hence this thread. I am doing this swap for a distant relative of my fiancee. He had a 95 lude with a h23 that blew up, and he got a f22b short block. The distributor cap was broken in shipping, when I tell them to get a new one, what kinda of car/motor should they order it for? Also, I'm assuming from what I read the flywheel, clutch, h233 tranny, and axles will all work for this swap. Any problems with the mounts? And he plans on using the h23 ecu, any thing I need to do other than tap threads for the knock sensor? Any guidance on this would be much appreciated! Thanks! (by the way, first time working on a lude, always been with civics and tegs)
I don't think you need to tap for the knock sensor unless you have an h22 they are the only h block with a knock sensor no knock on f series. The f22b he got is it a b1 or just straight b because they are different one is a single cam block the other is a dual cam block. you can use the h23 ecu and everything from the h23 trans flywheel ect. dizzy cap if it's external then use the h23 cap if its internal coil just get a internal coil cap.
92 civic cap works and also accord caps and any honda with the distributor that looks like a 92 civic distributor cap without the external coil wire coming out of it. Also if your using the f22b distributor use the firing order for that distributor cause it will misfire. What type of motor is it single cam vtec or the dual cam non vtec?
