Best bang for my buck
Hello people I have a 00 honda civic it has a d15b7 mini me with y8 head n intake manifold I am thinking about turbo and I heard to turbo my engine new rods new pistons switchin to obd1 new injectors I was wondering since ima end up spendin a buncha money ne way if it would just be better to save up n get an obd1 h22a with lsd trans or should I look into a b series btw I know I probably sound retarded but I wanna make my car fast or at least faster and do you have to sacrifice a/c n p/s with turbos
You need to search, read, and learn. Also, punctuation is your friend.
If you don't want to search, read, and learn, then just spend too much money on a Greddy bolt-on kit and call it a day.

I just don't want to spend a butt load on beefing up the d15 then installing turbo switching to obd1 then still not getting what I want out of my car sory im doing this on my cell fat thumbs plus small buttons suck
Also what is the best way to learn without just goin out and trying it and hoping it works btw this seems to be an important part too it is my daily driver usually just take me to woek n bak prolly a mile other than that I drive it pretty hard on highway and interstate
The best way to learn is to read. Use the search function on this forum, it works wonders.
You say you don't want to spend a butt load and still not get what you want out of the car. What exactly do you want out of the car?

You can get turbo setups that are power steering and air conditioning compliant. When you start looking at manifolds, turbos, and downpipes, talk to the people you're buying from and ask. There's a very well done write-up on DIY boost here.
Before you buy your first part, read. Do a LOT of reading. Figure out exactly what you want out of the car, as well as how much effort and money you're willing to put into your car. Turbo mods can either go beautifully, or they can go horribly, and 99% of the time they go horribly because someone didn't research enough, or tried to cut corners.
You also say you want acceleration and top speed. Why do you care about top speed? Speed limits don't just magically vanish because you have a fast car, and I don't care how fast your ride is, you can't outrun a police radio.
There are also about a dozen other things you should do to a Civic before turbo'ing it. Maybe you spend a metric assload of money on your motor and make it fast as ****, but if you're still on the stock rubber and suspension, you'll just sit there spinning tires. If you're still on the stock clutch, you'll destroy it. If you're still on the stock brakes, you might destroy yourself. A turbo won't turn your grocery getter into a track car.
There are a few solid people around here that can give you great advice, but if you come up with stupid questions, or questions that have been asked a million times before, no one is going to be helpful. You have to help yourself first.
The most important thing to remember is this: Money, speed, reliability. You can only have two.

planning and budget would be the 1st place to start..
Will this be a street car or strip/autoX?
How much realistic power are you shooting for?
How much are you wanting to spend?
You can read this guide which is outdated, but has great info.

Be ready to have $$$ on the side for stuff that will break and/or need replacing.
Clutch
mounts
brakes
suspension and bushings
^ will all need upgrading as well
Fast
Reliable
Cheap
^
pick 2 and the 3rd is what its not.

Dude you don't need to bump your thread. If your not patient you will mess your car up and then you'll be out completely.

Why are you so concerned with 'car respect'?
If you don't do it right the first time, you will be doing it again.
And if you don't know much about cars and not too many people you know do, what do you think is going to happen if you just slap a turbo on your car?

Know what you want and be sure about it before you start buying. That's something a guy told me when I wanted to boost my 350z. Make a solid plan and budget and stick to it. Too many people change their kinda a million times and never complete the project. Also READ. There are hundreds or thousands of threads like yours and some pretty good answers in them.
H22 is an expensive swap. And not many people do them so it will be harder to find support when you have problems.
