Default Might be a fuel problem.

I've been having this problem where I will accelerate from a stop and about ten seconds after I've reached my ideal speed my car will let out a slight tug. The tug can be compared to driving an automatic and turning overdrive back on. Maybe I need a new fuel pump? There aren't enough symptoms yet to tell. Need some help!!

My rpms don't change when it tugs, atleast not enough to notice. And I have a manual transmission, and the clutch works great. So no faulty torque converter. My boyfriend says maybe I should change my fuel filter but I'm not too sure.

check your fuel pressure first if still around 38-42 it's not the fuel system you should look at.

I'll check that. The tug usually happens when I accelerate at higher rpms and quicker. It only happens once though.

is it while accelerating or after and you're already on cruising speed? usually if it's fuel pump you won't reach high rpm

What year is the car? The fuel pumps are pretty die hard. Have you checked the main relay?
