So im having issues with my radiator fan not coming on
The fan itself works i checked it by hardwiring to the battery
My fan was/is hardwired to come on with the ignition
Im wondering if i switch my thermostat housing to the y7 one and wire up the sensor wwill this solve my problem
Or what else would i be able to do to solve this issue
Btw d16y7 in std civic running obd0

ground wire on fan to frame
power wire on fan to a switch
another wire from battery to the other tab on the switch
so you can make the fan work when needed and when its cold you can have it off to help the car warm faster

the fan switch is a thermo switch you can test its functionality with a multimeter and a lighter just heat it up from room temp. and watch to see if it switches on your multimeter
not unless you forget to turn it on on a hot day.....buddy of mine blew the head off of his ae86 race car that way....pretty funny considering all the engineering he had in that car that he never put a thermostatic fan switch on there
