I have a clothes hanger clip that will not retract back up and just flops. Is there a simple way to fix or replace it w/o taking the headliner apart?

In for the fix! My 09 Si driver side clip won't retract either. Passenger side clip is fine but driver side just hangs. Whats weird is that I have never used it and one day it just started to flop.

 

If one side starts the other will in about a year or 2. I think im going to just glue mine or something.

 

Yeah i considered that too since i dont use mine. I think I might use a velcro strip that way it is actually still functional and i can attach it back. I did a little research earlier on 8thcivic.com and apparently this is quite common and the whole panel back there has to be replaced to correctly fix this.
