IAC(AKA rotary air control valve) connections? (pics)

IAC(AKA rotary air control valve) connections? (pics)
OK, on a 99 accord 2.3 vtec, Im installing this IAC valve. i know the 2 lower connections are for coolant hoses, but does anything connect to the upper one and if so, what does it goto? OR is it just a vent? Thanks for any help Ray
