02si vtec problem

Default 02si vtec problem

Got a p1259 for vtec malfuntion i replaced the vtec solenoid and the pressure switch on the side of the engine and fresh 5w20 synthetic oil and i still throw the code wnt happen all the time tho it wnt let me rev past 4k and oher times it will and hit vtec ...anything i mite be over lookin ?

only other thing I can think of could be a blockage in a passageway? You pretty much replaced what I would of said to

If you pass 2200 RPM you are hitting VTEC in an EP3, just saying. You wont hear VTEC like in an A2, Z1, or Z3.. Also, why are you still running 5w20? There's several threads on people using 5w30 because the 5w20 is too thin.
