Mugen ECU upgrade for PM7?

I bought one, installed it, and didnt notice anything on the butt dyno, except higher rev limiter.
Also, when I am sitting idle, the check engine light comes on, and I cant rev above 4k.
They have yet to send me a replacement chip.
