72mm TB to big?
Im picking up a edlebrock victor x with a blox 72mm throttle body. The mani is port matched for the tb. Im building a ls vtec aiming for like 500whp. Is that tb too big for me?
It will be fine, its not needed for that HP level but it will be fine. Tuning part throttle will be a littlre more tricky but more than doable. its not like its a 90mm lol
I wont lose no power with that type of power? its better than my stock b16 one for sure right? Also im only reving to like 8200 cuz i still have stock valvetrain but going to upgrade later. Will that intake manifold and tb be fine to make around 400-500?
Too big and you will notice poor resolution in the part throttle regions. It will hurt tip-in power, but not full load power (WOT).
I'd go 72mm rather than the stock B16 TB.

What Tony said is true. It sucks for part throttle. With a big throttle you lose resolution and its hard to modulate. I used a 76mm for awhile and hated it. When to a 68mm and its much better.
