.....sort of.

went for a drive today and was doing about 80mph down the bypass and as i switched lanes there was like i little vibration through the steering wheel, and a slight buzzing noise. around ten mins later the whole car started shaking/vibrating and the steering wheel was really bad, also i had to fight it because it was pulling to the right. when i let off the gas it went even worse. its hard to describe how bad it was. I pulled over when i could, shook the wheels and there was no play, had no jack so popped bonnet and checked drive shafts what i could and just tried to squeeze under the car to see if i could feel anything. as i drove off it was fine...... but on the way back home it happened again. when traveling slow it sortof pulses, like turns right right, straightens up, right, straightens up. lately i have been hearing a noise from engine bay when driving, thought gearbox was knackered.

I dont know if im in the right section, appologies if not. but i would apreciate the help

ok, had a look this morning and cv boot is split, ive ordered a new cv joint. do you think that could be the problem?

 

Yes, your CV joint going will definitely cause the problem you've described.

Good call on replacing the whole joint. Just replacing the boot itself is a waste of time.
