H22 to a B16 Tranny
Looking at a 93 civic sedan for sale that had an engine swap done. The current setup has an H22 engine mated to a B16 Transmission. Also has GSR axles, Skunk2 lowering springs, evolution motor mounts, lightened flywheel, stage 1 clutch, and a P28 chipped ecu. I am looking for a reliable everyday driver, that I wont have to dump a lot of money into, yet a little speed would not hurt. The body has 130,000 miles, engine has around 70,000 miles and the tranny has less than that. With all of this in mind what concerns are there, or should it be just another reliable honda?
I use to have an H2B back a few year ago. I daily drove it but the b16 tranny sucked a*s. You could be going 20MPH in 5gear and still have power. Then I also couldnt keep a tranny in it for very long either im not to sure why> i think i put 3 or 4 trannys in it the year i had it. Then the guy that bought it from me has put a tranny or 2 it kept busting the case. It had the QSD h2b kit.

I still think those trannmissions are too short for a 2.2L engine, it would be hell on the highway with a Type R transmission.
