I got a gorgeous 1990 civic hatch base model...everything is pretty much stock. Got the thing for 2 grand and it only has 81k on the engine! But i was looking to beef up that b15b1 cause 70 hp aint all that much . I know of dpfi-mpfi swaps as well as mini-me... but are there any other things i could do?

 

2 g's for a stock base ed? ouch. mine had no miles on it neither when i bought it but it was a major piece of ****... and less than a thousand miles down the road the block breaks at the block from the engine mount bolts being stripped out completely by the genius previous owner who disregarded telling me that

1: you could save yourself the money and keep it stock and maintain it as needed so that you dont look back at all the tens of thousands of dollars you put into your car mods over the years. but if you dont accept that....
2: GOOD suspension
3: upgrade brake system. DA integra brakes are interchangeable
4: check all bushings and repair/replace as needed
5: rear sway bar, strut bars
6: wheels/tires
7: alignment
8: maybe a slightly smaller steering wheel(i like my steering to be tight)
9: b/h/k/j series?
10: let me direct you...............
