2002 accord lx sedan noise?????
Yo, this is my first time posting a thread here so imma try not to ramble.. here it goes.. My wife has a 2002 Honda Accord LX Sedan it has 115,000 miles she bought it in "02" from a Honda dealer that they used it as a loaner so it came with 30,000 miles already on it. Our problem is that when we drive it we hear a humming/whinning sound after 20mph. Apon checking online ive changed all that people have suggested, changed wheel bearings, front suspension, new breaks, ive changed all fluids... And after all that i still hear that damn noise could some one please point me into the right direction of what it is. Thank you.
Please provide information from where the sound is coming. It is not possible to identify exactly the problem and it would be inappropriate to provide a solution simply on the basis of the sound.
you said you begin to hear it at 20mph, but what happens as speed increases beyond that? does the pitch increase? does it increase in volume relative to your speed? does it change when the gears change?
from the parts you've thrown at it you've ruled out almost everything except the transmission. am I right in assuming it's an automatic? either way, focus your efforts there.

The automatic transmissions of this generation are notorious, and it seems like you're about the mileage that it will be acting up. Have someone take a look at that, do you have any slipping or hard shifting?
