look i know this can be found but I have googled everything i could think of and nothing is coming up. Anyway, I am tryin to but a friends civic hatchback original carburated motor. I looked at the ecu codes on the car and all it does is blink once wait a second or two blink again.........over and over. The car just starts runs for a second then shuts off, but if you give it gas it struggles but runs. anyhelp?? thanks

do you have pics of the engine? and you say it's carb??? you sure it's a 88-91?

 

Are you sure this is carb or is it single injector that looks like a carb?

 

dude honestly i have no idea im going to buy the car for 500 if its something i can fix with no problem. I guess i should have said that.... it looks the exact same as my buddies 89-91 hatch i was actualy told today that it was pfi, programed fuel injected i though it was carbed..ops. Like i said the car turns over its just it wont stay running with out tapping the gas. I still cant find anything on the ecu code. I know how to read them just cant find a page.

Im only going to buy it if its something simple and not like the timing being off.....etc because i have a 97 200sx that i want to get on the road but i could use the cheap insurance/ no inspection thing since im in school and my refund check is buying it

 

i actually told the guy to check the vacuum lines but he is set on a timing issue or something bad...
