Ok so recently my car (2000 civic si) was bogging after the timing belt went out, coming to fid out i need to have a head job as well as lock work done, my cylinders are screwed up, the mechanic is suggesting to over bore it with new pistons bearings etc. . . Along with the head job the total cost is estimated at $1,400 incluing labor, now my question is wuld this be the cheapest alternative to get my daily driver back or are there any cheap low mile b16 or b18 swaps that soomeone might know of? Im really broke and i might be usin my financial aid money to cover this! Please someone suggest anything?

 

not sure about your area but you can pick up an ls in my area for like 250 bucks and it will drop right in, it will be a good sub for you needing it for a daily
