If my civic 1994 high rev about 5500 rpm then the check engine light on after that when I stop the car somewhere traffic light. My Idle seems little high about 1600 rpm with the check light on. after the I off and on the engine it gone an back to normal idle. So any one know this symptom? Some say is Map sensor....

well if he's obd2 then he needs the code reader, can't tell us anything until he goes and checks it.

What? I can get my wife to pull codes using the paperclip trick on her 97 hatch. You don't need a code reader.

Hi... This puss is lovable when help in needed. One question before I put the pin to the jumper plug. This is easy that I found 2 cable there. But as my passenger seat is on the left (and Mine is original JDM EG9). I found that one cable that got three hole plug and another one is two hole plug. According the web said that EK two hole plug is blue with brown and black wire while EG is Gray with tan and green wire. But Mine is blue plug with brown and black wire. My all harness never convert to EK OBD2. Mine is still OBD1 so is that ok to plug since is the only cable that I found. Haha I scare that short my ECU.

just after an hour I just tried the paper clip to the blue plug. The CEL flash 7 times 0.5s. So I assume is Code 7. According the code is the TPS sensor. Hmm... Once I did replace the TB. But not change the whole TB with sensor. Put back the sensor in place just change the TB 62mm. Could it be the TPS need to be calibrate or a faulty TPS? Thank you

Yeah I think need to recalibrate the sensor. But the matter is it need to back probe the middle sensor cable to 0.45 v with using a vol meter. But I'm lazy to do that... Ahw... I need some solution that not require tools and skill like the question title above that got the answer. Thanks Puss Once again meow.... oh yeah puss do you wear boots? any solution that just need some degree to adjust the TPS without vol meter? Thanks

Ok finally I use a needle to reach the middle sensor cable. I wonder how they can use a paper clip? doesn't matter... The reading from my volt meter v1.57 and this is the minimum that I can adjusted by Closed Throttle. If maximum will around 1.85. So is this the sensor is faulty closed throttle? v5.07 Wide Open Throttle(WOT). If do I won't waste much time for tuning it. Thank you.

If just measure the voltage cable only.(not the middle cable) is v5.07.

hi, Well I just replace an used part TPS sensor from a d16a and I did success adjust it V0.45 CT and V4.50 WOT. But the matter is the idle is erratic up and down. So is it the D series TPS is compatible to b-series? any idea?

(Well the previous TPS is v1.85 CT and v5.07 WOT. but the idle is ok the matter only check light when hit some high rpm)

hello, I set my TPS v0.26 Closed Throttle and v4.5 wide open throttle is that ok? Because when I set CT to v0.45 the rpm rev like hell 2500-3000. Is it as long as the WOT is v4.5 while my CT v0.26 idle rpm 700-800 and that should be fine right? thank you
