02 ep3 si mantince req light does not go out
so i turned the key to 2 and held in the odometer button it flashes and then comes back on does anyone know what problem i have?
ill do it the way you just said and it comes back on when the car isnt even started tried it about 5 times and does the samething
I noticed on my new EP3 that the trip button is kinda touchy, you have to push it just right for the button to do anything.
I am not sure about the EP3, but on some cars, it matters what mode the display is in before you can reset(like on one of the newer Toyotas, you have to put it on Trip A to reset the maint. light).
So make sure you are holding the trip button with the key off, then switch the key to Run, while still holding the button. The maint req'd light will come on, keep holding the button until the light goes off. You should now be reset. If the maint req'd light does not come on then go back off, you are doing something wrong/something is broken.
I work at a Tire/Align/Oil change shop. I reset these lights daily.
