What do the stock OEM spoiler mounting holes look like?
I have a 98 Civic EX and I'm wanting to buy a 99-00 High OEM spoiler for it. My trunk currently has 3 holes on each side, one towards the edge and two more towards the rear window on each side. There is also two holes on each of my quarter panels thanks to some idiot who put a ricer wing on it..
does anyone have a picture of the mounting holes for an OEM spoiler? Not sure if the ones on my trunk are from an OEM spoiler or that ricer one. I will post up a picture of my holes tonight.

If there was a low factory spoiler the holes will line up.
There should be 3 holes on the left side for the high spoiler, I think the low factory had the 3 on the passenger's side, 2 holes for the spoiler and one for the wiring to pass through.

Here is what the holes look like. They're a little hard to see because there's tape over them, but I didn't want to take it off because it was snowing :/

By looking the top one looks too far up to me.
Open the trunk, look at the edge you will see dimples in the sheet metal that is where the factory holes are drilled.
Here are the 96-98 instructions

Ooooh lordy I laughed so hard
XDD
On a note similar to this:
I drive a 98 LX sedan and when I got it, it had holes from a previous spoiler, but idk if it was the stock one or not...or if LX's even came with a spoiler ^^;
There are 5 holes total, 2 on the passenger side and three on the driver's side...
Would the stock holes be pre-marked on the sedan trunk lids as well?
Reason being is they're just filled in with putty and painted over, but they look like crap and I wanna probably get a short OEM style spoiler for the trunk once I repaint the thing cuz the paint is fading off
Sorry to thread-jack
^^;

I went to a local junkyard today and looked inside in 98 Civic coupe trunk and found the premarked dimples you guys were talking about. The holes in my trunk are drilled in the exact same spot. The two more towards the back are anyways, I didn't see a third one on either side of the one at the junkyard?
There is a third hole for the 3rd brake light wiring, only on one side.
Cap......you will not see the third hole because the spoiler is covering it from the top, the third hole does not go all the way threw.
Cap like I said one of your holes looks too far up.

Alright, thanks for clarifying. I'm guessing those two that are farther down are from a stupid ricer wing..
HAH! These cars are the reason all us Honda owners get made fun of...
Well the two that are close together on each side are drilled exactly where the dimples should be. The other two that are further away are probably from a stupid rice wing..

Well there should be a third hole for running the wiring through for the break light but it's not that far down. The two top holes are for mounting only. I bet he had a Supra "style" wing on it.
