Default 97 ex clutch upgrade

97 civic ex mostly stock for now, considering 8lbs, the clutch is showing some age and the isb is getting louder. probably changing the clutch and transmission for an ex trans soon and just putting together a parts list.

So looking into clutch's have read/heard good things about exedy clutches, also lightweight flywheels? my question is what is a good setup for d series?

What is "considering 8lbs"? If you're talking about boost then you don't know what you're talking about. If you're going boost then get a clutch rated to hold the amount of torque you'll be making. No real need for an aftermarket/lightened flywheel. If you're only thinking about going boost then get an Exedy OEM replacement clutch.

For a D-series motor setup, Exedy or Competition Clutch would do fine.
