short ram intake or Cold air intake, less then $40 on ebay shipped. And Should not affect your warranty.

Nothing will void your warranty. This has been the law for decades, and why anyone thinks otherwise is beyond my understanding.

Individual claims can be denied if your modifications caused the failure.

That's what you call a loophole. There have been MANY unrelated failures rejected for warranty work due to modifications. Intake? Must be why your 3rd gear, with the exact symptoms of the TSB, is bad. Short shifter? You race your car everywhere and that burned out the catalytic converter. Aftermarket exhaust? Caused your slave cylinder to go bad. Dealerships aren't called stealerships for no reason.

If you had warranty claims denied over such absurdities, you should have sued.

I had my radiator replaced under warranty, when the cause of failure was my absurdly stiff spring rates banging the car to pieces over crappy pavement. Dealer didn't want to try and prove that was the cause, and simply honored the warranty claim instead.

The burden is on the company trying to deny the claim to prove you caused the failure. If you allow them to deny the claim without doing so, you allowed them to break the law.

It happens all the time. It's called a "class-action lawsuit."
