Icon3 B20 Vtec Build

Alright guys so soon I will be going B20 vtec.
Currently I have an effed up 2nd Gen B16a4. Has a couple of problems:

Bad rings
Valve seals maybe ? Since it smokes a little at startup in the morning.
excessive knocking
Bad oil pump maybe ? any way i could check ?

so now i'm going to do b20vtec. I'm getting a b20b block and so i need to know what else I should get. I am on a VERY limited budget. Lets just say I got screwed over this b16 deal so I am short of $$. I just need a basic b20 build for now, will go allmotor in about 2 months once dads satisfied that the car runs fine stock lol.

so yeah, i'm going to use my b16 tranny and the b16 head. I need to know if the oil pump can be used off my b16 ? and i can't afford eagle etc B20 kits so I will be getting custom made ones here locally. Let me know bros I could really use your help

Also will be going for regular head stuff i.e port polishing and matching. Advise me on that aswell.

I say finish the vtec conversion the appropriate way first. Golden Eagle has proven technology. Then move on to other expenses.

If you can't afford it don't do it...cause you'll be out even more money in the long run when you try to cut corners. Wait and save.

BAMBAM has all the information in his post. Do your homework. I have read his thread about 50 times and it is still interesting to read. Know your S*** before you blow your S***.
