I think you might have skipped some pics in the pics thread. There's someone on this board named "Slowman" with a red Si with a sun roof and plenty other cars but I can only come up with him at the moment... Hope that helps

Just the roof in particular from a high angle right/left/front/rear .. plz?
I'm also curious how/if it is possible to weld the waterdrainages to have a more smooth roof.. I've seen it before somewhere

 

ok i will take pics now, and about the water part i would think they could just bondo those in and fill em in.

 

the water channels are really big when you take out the moulding.. you would definitely want to weld those if you were to get rid of them.

 

I dont think I would bondo in the whole rain gutter. I have seen this crack before.

I think trinity meant bondo the squirter. As to the passages weld them, or use fiberglass to mold them even.

Man I thought I was the only one with that ULTRALIGHTWEIGHT snowboard rack.

I know your cheap keith, but you can at least spring for a bulldog alarm for the lady. That rope wont stop a professional theif from getting in.

-> I'm removing my sunroof and welding in a DX/HF roof and I need the pics to show the guy from the paintshop cuz I wasn't sure if I'm going to fill up the waterchannels..

 

you must have the one use rack as mine is the combo version. i can hold down snowboards, surfboards, mountain bikes, dirtbikes, etc.

we call that layered protection. first they have to untie the rope, then remove the rope, then open the door. those are 3 critical steps!

yeah there might be, but we're going for the dukes of hazard style here. we don't need any functional doors.

the latch on the door broke, so we are using the rope to keep the door shut. the cars isn't registered or insured yet, its just sitting in the yard. once its ready for the road, we'll get the latch welded.

no problem. i hope you appreciate it after all the slack i am catching here.

i'd just remove the water channels, but make sure there isn't any flat spots near the door edge. you'd hate to open the door only to have a puddle of water pour into your car.

 

what can i say the car was only 500 bucks , the door latch was broke , oh well just a little weld job
