Default Propane not injected still use cop and ctrls.

Any help will be appriciated. 1st. currently have a new 502ci gm with cop and throttle by wire, currently set up with injectors to run E98. ecu is unknown at this time the system was put together by a unknown vender as of now.

2nd. Want to use vapor propane into inlet and run engine. Yes ditch the injectors and put vapor into engine and still maintain all cop, wireless throttle etc,.
3rd. Any and all ideas welcome or any links. BTW this engine is going to maintain a contstant torque to run a pump that pulls water out of ground for farming.
4th. Thanks

first i would like to start with some technical data;
______________________PROPANE________93 Octane_____ETHANOL
lower heating value_____46KJ/KG_________44KJ.KG______26.8KJ/KG
OCTANE_______________104.5____________93__________ _104.2
Sstoichiometric
ratio__________________15.7:1__________14.7:1_____ ____9:1

as you can see propane has very close properties to pump gas and e98. the biggest difference is the vapor pressure of the gas at room temp. at 70degree F pure propane has a vapor pressure os 110Psig. 205psig @ 110degree F

have you given thought to high-pressure injectors and some type of thermal control for the propane supply?

in order to get stoichiometric with vapor injection your control system will probably have to be built from scratch.

keep injectors, chill propane, feel liquid phase, no fuel pump needed

Thanks for reply, i am afraid they will strip all the tech off the engine and go back to a points dizzy$ if they could. (Company had no problem buying 200 engines probably cause of a government kick back program when ethanol was cheap. )

Update -- using a gm computer. biggest consern is the huge difference in amount of ethanol needed vs propane. especially in the timing. Any thoughts?

I think amount of fuel u run shouldn't be your concern.

Maintaining stoich should.
