If you bought your spoon cams brand new * i think* they should come with a paper telling you what to gap it at. I know when you buy juns they come with a little manual type thing, and it says to gap at stock settings.

yea, wounder why u get a hummer. anyway, i dont know the exact lash for it, but since it got the same valve lift as stock itr cam, i think it should be same as stock lash.

What is this for? Keep comments constructive.

Pinota,

Since the Spoon cams are fairly mild cams, I'd use stock valve lash on them unless they came with valve lash specs recommended by Spoon.

The cams have 600 miles on it. They´ll come in the box. I´m afraid cause i can´t read or translate japanese.

Why do you think i deserve , be paciente with your portuguese friend.

I would assume that factory R settings would work fine being the cams are very similiar! And the springs should not effect it! eric

Stock recommended settings are: 0.06-0.07 intake & 0.07-0.08 exhaust.

actually int =0.17mm; exh = 0.19 works best on some of the cars I've done but I guess each motor is different or that canadian air is denser thant he US air LOL

I´ll install them with stock cam gears. Can´t get aftermarket ones right now. no $$$.
Will i have any problems of running the Spoon cams with stock cam gears and head milled ?

I´ll be running both spoon cams retarded 2 degrees. ( 0.023 inches milled head )
Will the exaust cam too retarded and will have problems with bent exaust valves ?

By the way, already got the 97+ lude injectors for my setup.

Thanks,

Pinota

4 degrees at crank is not too bad unless you have really oversized valves with crappy valve reliefs, I noticed you list endy 82mm pistons , if so then you'll be fine.

try to at least put an adjustable intake cam gear to advance the intake gear a good 4 or 5 degrees.
