RATTELING(sp) NOISE

So I have a 97 4 dr civic and when I start car I hear a RATTELING noise but when push clutch in noise goes away but then when car is in gear or idling the noise is ther
????

input shaft bearing.

Is that a major fix .. Can I ride for awhile with it ??

You have to take the transmission apart to fix it. Sometimes they'll go quite a while with a bad ISB and not do any other damage, sometimes they'll cut a deep groove in the mainshaft ruining it.
