Icon2 Type R Nos build

I want to run the jdm type r with spray and im curious to how much hp shot of nitrous the stock jdm type r can handle. Ive had a stock ls in the past that i sprayed a 75 hp shot everyday and it handled just fine.

If it is completely stock from factory I personally try to stay around a 75 shot - you can push a 100+ but even then your risk is greater than the reward. The problem is the extremely tight piston to wall clearances that are ran on these engines. This coupled with the piston rings not being gapped for it as well. There have been people that run 100+ every weekend with great success / others don't last long at all. It's all in the tune and how the engine was built. So if you can't afford to replace the engine then stay with a 50-75 shot and make sure your tune is good.

like mentioned, the tune will be a huge factor. Your exhaust valves wont like any amount of nitrous though and going past 100 hp on stock exhaust valves is asking for premature failure IMO

Personal experince with my USDM ITR motor, ran a 125 for over a year on weekend racing.

I would recommend a 75-100 at most.
