This was done 100% at his home work shop. He has a micro lathe and micro cnc setup. Mini band saw, drill setup... He did all the CAD drawings by himself. Built and assemble the battery cell. Only the necessities were purchased such as the motor, BMS. I think it took him about a year...

Running prototype version 1.0 was started sometimes in 2010 and was completed and test ridden in beginning of 2011. Majority of the designs worked out excellent. Currently version 2.0 is being designed and geared for production in 2012.

I just dumped a bunch of photos onto a facebook page... the photos are out of sequence. Just eye candy for you guys. If you guys are more interested in the details there is a build log of this... btw he was completely new to welding and he was self taught so, excuse the amateur TIG welds. :-)

We had lot of riding footage for unfortunately Ben forgot to check the recording resolution and it was some useless quality 160x1xx format that was all pixels so it was worthless. We have not re-shot anything since...

 

Ben and I have a mutual friend name Luke. He's got a faster bike...

Dogati has gone 60 mph.
DB 4.0 has gone 100+ mph easy, but is unstable above that. We'll be dragging DB 4.0 at a drag strip soon. :-)
