custom ecu to engine wiring harness
I have been building my rwd ef since semptember and now im moving onto wiring. Basically i took a eg cabin harness and seperated the ecu plugs up to the pass side shock tower from everything else. All i have so far is the ecu to the connectors, then the wiring up to the shock tower. Which leave some cut wires from seperating everything from the cabin harness. This leaves me with these open:
A7: Fuel pump
A9: IACV
A12: Engine coolant temp switch
A13: CEL
A15: AC compressor
A23: Power ground, less than 1v
A24: Same as A23
A25: IGP2, batter power from main relay
B1: Battery power, backup from busebox
B5: AC switch
B8: empty
B9: Starter signal
B10: ELD input
D1: Backup power, battery positive from from fusebox
D2: Brake switch
D4: Service connector
D7: Data link connector
D10: ELD input
D22: Sensor ground
This car is NOT going to be a DD, more of a drag car when i want to go to the track, and to go to the kmart parkinglot and blow some donuts. I am not using the underhood fusebox what so ever so from what i understand all that involves the ecu with that is the power supply and fuse. Im obviously not running ps or ac so that eliminated. Also Fuel pump with be hardwired as well as starter signal wire to switches, with a main kill switch, so i believe that eliminates the main relay? Things im really not sure about are, A23, A24 and A25, also B1, B10, D1 and D10. If anyone could elaborate on these that would be excellent. Also the driver side shock tower harness plugs?
What im going for is 2 seperate harnesses. My ef cabin harness which will be running a eg gauge cluster, wired directly from the vss as i did a hydro conversion, and the dizzy. And a ecu/engine harness. since the motor is in the back the harness will run through the rear firewall on the pass side and connect directly to the ecu. and if nessasary i will build a subharness to connect things that must be linked between the two harnesses. I want to keep this as simple as possible. Any help on this would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks in advanced

I believe A25 is the power from Main Relay that tells the ECU to turn on.
B1 ties into A25 as I remember.
B10 I believe can be disabled. If you use Hondata you can use the ELD wire as a wideband input.
Not totally sure on D1, but I believe it keeps the ECU from resetting every time you power down. It holds the codes and such.
If you don't use a main relay, how will you control priming the fuel pump?

i would use a switch, as ive done before to the power on the fuel pump. just flip the switch on for a couple seconds then fire it up, using a direct ignition wire to the starter signal wire, bypassing the neutral safety switch. I think for now im going to take my obd0 harness and extended the shock tower plugs, pull the cabin harness under the dash and connect the two there. And can focus on building a custom harness after its finished, im just ancy as my rullcage is getting built next week. and all thats left is the wiring harness, fuel lines, and coolant lines
