I know http://www.onlinecarstereo.com has Nakamichi products listed, but contact them to make sure they have them in stock. They have a habit of listing products they don't carry.

Yeah i noticed that too, I know that the 2000 models didn't. Nakamichi's are geared more towards the asian market where MD's are much more popular than cd's and cdr's. So they might not have even bothered with that yet.

The Nak's don't officially support CD-R's, but most people I have spoke to have had decent luck. It really depends on the quality of the media used and teh speed you burn at.

I'd be more worried about the propensity for their cd transport to fail.

Meaning they have a nasty little habit of "keeping" CD's...basically, they don't eject them....this is one of the primary reasons I didn't buy one.

Search Soundomain, termpro, elitecaraudio, and car sound to get more information.

Since they're not an authorized retailer, they can't offer the factory warranty, but they'll replace/repair if you have any problems, out of their own pocket, within the same warrany period.

Other than eBay, this was the cheapest I found online...

http://www.woofersetc.com just found this site. it rocks. as for the transport thing. i've been dealing with nak for a few years and never had a problem with units holding discs. both my mb-70 changer and cd-40z played all my cd-rs great.
