Stupid shifting mistake, now car is running strange
Like a dumbass yesterday, I miss shifted into 2nd from 3rd at around 6k rpms, now the engine/car is vibrating and sounds strange. I immediately hit the clutch and dropped it into 4th, but apparently that wasn't soon enough.
Engine is a b16a. There are no metallic sounds occurring, but it almost sounds like it is putt putting at idle and lower gears/rpms and I didn't notice it till after I had parked and started the next day.
I'm wondering if I may have bent a valve or if it's something more serious. Any help would be appreciated, I feel like a complete idiot that this has happened.

I worked at Honda years ago as a detailer, a customer did the exact same thing and had to get his engine replaced. Rev limiters work on the gas but not down-shifting

So the compression test is as follows.
1 3 2 4
65 190 185 185
So yeah, cylinders 1 is a good bit off.

I fixed the numbers, I posted the wrong ones. And it's cylinder 1 that's bad with only 65 pounds. I'll have to pull the head this weekend. and yeah, I was figuring that I messed a valve up. What an awesome mistake to be had.
Bent valve, happend to my friends B18C5 when racing. 3rd to 2nd at about 8.5 k. Two Bent valves on number 2 cylinder. We fixed it in about an hour.
Yes, pull the head check the valves. Hopefully you only bent valves.
I did a 1-2-1 bent 2 valves, and ****ed up the piston in my buddy's built GSR. lol

Just a stupid mistake I guess, I'm not real sure how I did it either to tell you the truth. In all the years I've driven stick, I've never done something this stupid. Guess I'm going to be paying for it now :/
Appreciate the help guys. Like I said, I'll be pulling the head this weekend, and I pray to baby jesus that it's only a bent valve or 2.

Were you cat-pawing the shifter (placing the palm of the hand over the top of the shift ****)? When I've heard/seen a misshift happen, most of the time the person shifting was cat-pawing the shifter. I always grab the shifter so the palm is on the right side of the shift **** and have never made this mistake, neither during normal DDing or at the track. Pull to the left while shifting for 1/2. Let the shifter go where it wants for 3/4, and push to the right while shifting for 5th.

its off a bunch its making the other cylnders work twice as hard to spin that crank I but that thing has one hell of a jerky idle and is very sluggish through the rpms..
