My EF hatch, GSR, track video.
Thought I'd share because I love the sound.
Had some fun, My first time to really run flat out. What a blast. Converted my all motor drag car for the weekend. I was pleased with it. I ran low on fuel so it was popping every so often. Not to worry, plenty of fun.
Needs roll bar and belts. that's next.

I see that fish hook in your mouth.... another one bitten by the bug!
Move that camera forward so we can see that road.
Vtec does kick in hard and its noisy as hell.
Ear plugs work nice here. I never go on track with out them.
One day when you get some in car communication you can get some of those custom ear buds.

Sliding the whole setup forward in the car would help. the trade off of course is the interior of the car will be darker, but a much better trade off.
just having fun, no epic adventure or anything. just a good time.
This was from earlier last year with the Billings club, it rained the whole time, I did like 5 laps and went home

I believe it's because of the auto brightness on the gopro. all the other windows are tinted, and it set that level as normal and then the windhshield is the smallest amount of light, so it got kind of blown out for lighting.

There is a center weight average (averages to expose the majority of the scene) which is why your windshield is washed out. It is doing the average of your view which is 80% dark.
There is a spot center setting and it will do the exposure balance on the exact center spot of the camera. USE THIS SETTING You still need to pinpoint it so the center points at your windshield, but it will do wonders for your exposure.
And yes, put it up forward more. And try to run 1080p since that has a narrower field of view. The 1080p runs ~130° while the 720p runes ~170°. If you have a GoProHD2 I'm pretty sure you can set whatever FOV you want and it's not resolution dependent.

NJMP in 2009 was the most notorious wet track in the world. Not bad driving staying smooth. Considering he's on the dry line everywhere, I'd say it was early enough in 2009 (or after some serious storms) that the track was very green. I drove that course in the summer during a random rain storm in GS. I have video, but everyone has already seen it.

yea, that was early on in the life of that track so the dry line wasn't polished and slippery. i don't think i could get away with that now :p

lol, so much flack for going home after 5 laps, my excuse is..... and its a good one.
I was running 2 year old yok's a048 with no tread showing. It was not expected to rain, but weather in Montana in the spring and fall can change quick. It was a free day, and I have thousands of laps on that track so, nothing new.

*true story*
i drove to from ny to njmp on bald azenis, raced in the rain on bald- 2/32 ra-1s spinning 4th gear with a dud ls motor, raced again the following day and drove back home to ny.
SACK UP!
Just bustin on ya. if your not comfortable in the rain on the wrong tire, no need to go ball it up. nothing to prove out there.
